I grew up in a depressed environment whereas entrepreneurship wasn't prevalent, and soon as I began seeing the world, observing how other people lived, the importance of a vibrant small business community became apparent to me. 

 

To paraphrase Brother Malcolm, I realized that just because a cat is born in the oven that doesn't makem a biscuit. I believe entrepreneurship is empowerment. A way, a path to help people level up in every area of their lives.   

 

If you're tired of first fired, last hired. You desire more control over what happens underneath your roof. If you want to influence whether there's a liquor store or community center on your block. Or be able to influence what happens in your community and region. Entrepreneurship is the answer. 

 

The aforementioned has driven and informed my passion for learning, being a problem solver, being a student of leadership, introducing myself in spaces (sometimes unannounced) with entrepreneurial activity and opportunities to have a greater impact.
